HR Assistant | 10-12 hrs/week | ongoing, temporary role | mostly remote | Community Health Center
Our client is looking for a part time HR Assistant. The help is needed 10-12 hours per week and can mostly be done remotely. Some in-person work required in their Bronx office. The client is a community based healthcare center.
Job Description:
-Develop and drive Human Resource initiatives and programs that align and support business objectives
-Cultivate strong relationships with employees and Leadership and develop a deep understanding of the company's business model
-Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, payroll, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; health and safety; and training and development.
-Maintains compliance with federal, state (distributed National workforce), and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance. Closely follows industry updates.
-Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
-Manage the employee lifecycle; recruitment, onboarding, development, offboarding
-Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
-Collaborate with Leadership Team on strategy for policies, programs, and benefits
-Proactively communicate relevant updates on policies, programs, benefits and safety
-Create and design learning and development programs to support employee growth
-Manage and update various HR platforms (HRIS, ATS, LMS)
-Conduct regular market research to ensure our compensation package is competitive
-Develop HR planning models to identify talent gaps and develop specific succession planning and career pathing programs
Qualifications
-Emotionally intelligent, empathetic and strong interpersonal skills with ability to thoughtfully resolve conflicts.
-Demonstrated track record of developing effective relationships across all levels of organizations.
-Good working knowledge of applicable local, state, federal employment laws. Experience working with a distributed workforce across the US.
-Coaching, training facilitation, and mediation skills.
-Knowledge of staffing, compensation, and talent management best practices.
-Ability to direct initiatives and gain buy-in from Leadership Team.
-Demonstrated integrity, discretion, and good judgement. Possess exceptional ethical and behavioral standards.
-Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
