People and Culture Assistant | 3-4 month role | Hybrid | Non-Profit
Our client is looking for a People and Culture Assistant for a 3-4 month temporary assignment. The role is hybrid (mostly remote but some on-site work) and 35-40 hours per week. Will provide a laptop.
The client is a non-profit that works in food poverty and this role provides administrative support to the People and Culture department. Candidates must have previous HR support experience. This is a new role to help during a busy period. There is a chance it could turn into a permanent position, but they will not make that decision for several months.
Job Duties:
-Support in organizing required documents for new hires, separations, and all other HR transactions for both physical and electronic files ensuring data accuracy and compliance with data protection regulations.
-Update and maintain organizational documents, including newsletters, spreadsheets, org charts, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
-Assist in HR projects, events, and other initiatives as they arise.
-Process Help Desk Tickets to Information Technology Team; (seating, IT items, helpdesk tickets).
-Assist in responding to general inquiries and guide employees to proper HR representative, if needed.
-Provide vital support in the administration of employee benefit programs and worker's compensation plans.
-Coordinate and schedule meetings and HR events ensuring seamless logistics and communication.
-Assist in preparing reports, audits, and other workforce-related requests.
Qualifications:
-High school diploma or equivalent experience required, bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field preferred.
-1+ years of experience in a similar HR support role.
-Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
-Knowledge of employment laws and regulations is a plus.
Technology: MS Office. UKG (HRIS – can teach). Zoom.
Compensation: $25-$28/hr.
