HR Coordinator | in-person in LIC | non-profit org

Our client is looking for an HR Coordinator. The role is Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm (35 hours per week). This is a fully in-person role, all candidates must be fully vaccinated and available to work 5 days per week in-person in their Long Island City, New York office. This is a temp-to-perm role…you would start as a temporary employee and after 2 months it could turn permanent.

The organization is a non-profit that helps save lives through organ and tissue donation - this role gives HR generalist coordination support to the HR team.

This is a very fast paced environment so they need someone who can work independently and hit the ground running. They need someone who is a go-getter and who has thick skin – everyone is very nice, but they are super busy, and it can be stressful.  

Tasks

-Coordinating for the HR team

-Onboarding

-Scheduling interviews

-Assisting with payroll

-Working with vendors and processing invoices

-Working with I-9 forms

-Taking meeting minutes

-Creating PowerPoint presentations

 

Qualifications:

-1-2 years of HR Experience. Onboarding would be ideal.

-Background in medical would be preferred

-Really tech-savvy who enjoys digitizing things and finding tech solutions

-Very detail-oriented

-Someone who likes working in a very fast paced environment – has worked in sales, PR, or another high-pressure environment.

-Someone interested in learning and growing their HR knowledge

 

Software: MS office, Kronos, SharePoint, Change Solutions

Compensation: Temporary Role: $28-$35/hr, commensurate with experience

Permanent Role: $60,000-65,000. Excellent benefits.
