Talent Acquisition Officer | Remote Role | Non-Profit Org
Our client is looking for an experienced Talent Acquisition Officer. We are assisting them in searching for and screening possible candidates for this role. If selected, you would be a direct hire employee of our client.
This is a fully remote role, but all candidates must be located in the United States and available to work during East Coast time zone working hours.
The organization is a global public health non-profit - this is a new role in their HR Team and has both recruiter functions as well as broader HR coordination functions. They are looking for someone excited to do both parts.
The Talent Acquisition Officer fulfills key stages of recruitment, ensuring they are able to attract high caliber, engaged talent to deliver their mission. This position partners with hiring managers and the Talent Acquisition team to plan and execute tailored recruiting strategies for assigned job openings. This role provides outstanding internal and external service to job seekers, teammates, and hiring managers throughout key steps in the recruitment process: preparing, sourcing, screening, and coordination of selection.
Duties:
-Collaborate with hiring managers and the Director of Talent Acquisition and Development to help define the job that needs to be filled, the nature of the responsibilities, and the profile of the person who would fit the role
-Support the development of a compelling job description to attract the right applicants
-Engage hiring managers throughout the recruitment process to gather critical information required to create and quickly execute an effective sourcing plan for a given role
-Implement inclusive sourcing and screening methods for each search to ensure qualified and highly diverse slates of candidates are attracted and apply
-Conduct outreach to passive candidates, ongoing discovery and outreach to new sources, and leverage external and internal networks to ensure strong candidate pipelines
-Review applications for pre-determined technical capabilities, core competencies, and other requirements and generate longlists for the consideration of hiring managers
-As needed, conduct thorough prescreens of applicants to ensure that talent presented to hiring managers is appropriate for consideration based on technical qualifications and core competencies
-Support hiring managers and other interview panelists by providing updates, process details related to recruitment and interviewing, background information and documentation as well as coordination of interviews
-Complete reference checks for finalist candidates
-Report and collaborate regularly regarding recruitment efforts with the Talent Acquisition and HR operations teams
-Enter and update assigned job openings and accompanying job seeker files in a timely manner via our Applicant Tracking System, ensuring that all recruitment files are up to date and available and ready for inquiry at any time
-Ensure completion and accuracy of information, compliance with internal procedures, and real-time, accurate, and thorough documentation of recruitment efforts, interview notes, pre-hire processes and completion of all necessary steps to report on and close out recruitment files
Qualifications:
-At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally in an international context
-Adept at using a range of recruiter platforms to reach a broad range of global talent (eg, public health, technology, operations, etc)
-Proven commitment to diversity, inclusion, and belonging, particularly as it relates to recruitment
-Demonstrated experience meeting the needs and expectations of internal stakeholders, with a proven ability to build effective external and internal relationships and networks
-Knowledge of basic Human Resources principles and practices
-Enthusiasm for mission-driven work
-Ability to work remotely, overlapping with standard working hours on the US East Coast; able and willing to convene in person for occasional in-person meetings
Preferred Experience:
-Experience recruiting technology roles (eg, digital health experts, software engineers, product managers)
-Experience recruiting globally, including in countries in sub-Saharan Africa and Asia

Salary: $75,000-85,000. Excellent benefits.
